“Serving Today, Preserving Tomorrow”
I was motivated to volunteer at Shakshing Lhakhang because I wanted to contribute to the preservation of our cultural heritage and support the local community. I believe that helping at such an important religious and cultural site is a meaningful way to serve the people of Khamdang Gewog and the surrounding areas. Through this volunteer work, I hoped to make a positive difference, strengthen community bonds, and help preserve our traditions for future generations.
I completed my project by volunteering at Shakshing Lhakhang, where I dedicated my time and effort to supporting the Lhakhang and the local community. Through my service, I contributed to preserving our cultural and spiritual heritage, strengthening community relationships, and promoting the values of kindness, cooperation, and selfless service.
This project taught me the value of working together, staying committed, and helping others. Transporting rocks to the second floor of Shakshing Lhakhang helped me develop patience, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. I also gained a deeper appreciation for our cultural and religious traditions and understood how volunteering can support community development and preserve our heritage for future generations.
