SCOUTS HELP LOCAL COMMUNITIES FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19
Ghana Scout Association has enroll this project to help rural communities fight against COVID-19.The project targets the rural communities who will be vulnerable to the virus. due to resources.
The project enmphases on the sensitisation on correct hand washing skills,the need to observe social distancing as well as making donations of veronica buckets,these are buckets made locally to help people wash their hands under running water.The project will run for four months after which it will be reviewed depending on the state of the covid virus.
The Brong Ahafo Regional Scout Council orgainised Hand washing sensitisation in some of the rural communities in the region.The sensitisation lasted for 2 weeks. Scout leaders were put in patrols in partnership with their district assemblies.Areas covered so far were Kintampo districts,Sunyani District as well as Buoyem.
The impact was great as the rural folks learnt about the rightful ways of hand washing under running water.to keep safe
