Quality Education for a Rubbish Robot

Quality Education for a Rubbish Robot

Rubbish Robot teaches 1st Knysna Sea Cubs That Quality Education is for Everyone.

1st Knysna Sea Cub Pack had the pleasure of donating their book-drive collection to Melinda from the Knysna Education Trust (KET) in October 2019. During the meeting Melinda explained KET's goal of empowering impoverished local communities through education. KET believes quality education is a key answer to making a sustainable difference to all, especially at the foundation development stage. "Remember to always do your best that you can at school. Then you too can get a good job, as an adult, and hopefully help others that are in need," she said before we read the story about the Rubbish Robot.

The Pack acted out the scenes from the story as they learnt how a simple recycling robot is also entitled to a quality education, just like the local children. The Pack experienced that learning through reading offers heaps of fun and excitement. There is never a dull moment when you use your imagination. Even the shy cubs got a chance to tell the story of how a poor robot can improve it's life through education.
