Project NeerSakthi: Clean Waters, Clear Future

The project was inspired by a deep concern for the growing plastic pollution threatening our environment and aquatic life. Witnessing the deteriorating state of local lakes and ponds, Guide K. Pudhunila and Guide Captain Mrs. Chella Meena felt a strong urge to act. They aimed to instill environmental responsibility among students and create lasting awareness through hands-on community service.

The project was executed through a well-coordinated cleanup drive led by Guide K. Pudhunila and Guide Captain Mrs. Chella Meena, in collaboration with the Vanam Volunteer Foundation. Students from Sairam Matric Higher Secondary School actively participated by collecting and safely disposing of plastic waste from local water bodies. Awareness sessions and team-based activities ensured effective participation and long-lasting impact.

The project taught the importance of environmental responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement. Students gained hands-on experience in waste management, understood the severe impact of plastic pollution, and developed leadership and organizational skills. It also reinforced the value of civic duty, showing that collective effort can lead to meaningful change and a cleaner, healthier ecosystem for future generations.
