Prevention of gaseous odor in Ogun state
This project was inspired by the need to protect students and communities in Ogun State from offensive gaseous odours that affect health and well-being. By promoting proper waste management, environmental awareness, and community action, the project aims to create a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment for everyone.
The project was carried out through community engagement, environmental awareness campaigns, and practical clean-up activities. We educated students and residents on proper waste management, identified major sources of offensive odours, and distributed nose masks to people in affected communities to help reduce exposure. The project was implemented with the support of volunteers and community stakeholders to ensure a lasting impact.
Throughout the project, we learned that community participation and environmental awareness are essential to addressing environmental challenges. We also realized that small actions, such as proper waste disposal, educating the public, and providing protective items like nose masks, can make a meaningful difference in protecting public health and creating a cleaner environment.
