The Scouts, other students, teachers of Yoeseltse Middle Secondary School, Samtse Bhutan along with community people observed the Lord Buddha's Parinirvana at Yoeseltse Temple on 9th of June 2017. We conducted recitation of the holly scripts for the well-being of all the living beings on this universe. Preparation was done on 8th June 2017 and the real event on the next day. There were about 86 in all from morning till late evening on the actual prayer recitation day. Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini in Nepal. Buddha apparently showed an early inclination to meditation and reflection. He left home and began wandering in search of enlightenment. He encountered an aged man, a sick man, and a corpse, and he suddenly and deeply realized that suffering is the common lot of humankind. He forsook family, wealth, and power in the quest for truth. After 45 years of missionary activity Buddha died in Kusinagara, Nepal, as a result of eating contaminated food. He was about 80 years old. Buddha was one of the greatest human beings, a man of noble character, penetrating vision, warm compassion, and profound thought. Not only did he establish a great new religion, but his revolt against Hindu hedonism, asceticism, extreme spiritualism, and the caste system deeply influenced Hinduism itself.. Buddha's teachings have influenced the lives of millions of people. With this I too join to wish every living creature on this universe a very good and healthy life. Thank you one and all.
