Plant for the Planet: Scouts in Green Action
As Scouts, our duty is to leave the world better than we found it. Witnessing rising temperatures and losing green space in our community inspired us to take action. As Scouts, we believe small, local steps can create big global impacts. By connecting our passion for community service with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), we launched this plantation drive to fight climate change and build a greener, more sustainable future.
Plan: Selected native saplings and suitable local spots. Prep: Prepared soil and gathered eco-friendly tools. Plant: Planted saplings with protective bamboo fences. Care: Set a daily watering schedule for team members.
Through this project, we learned that true environmental impact requires dedication beyond just the initial action. While planting saplings was simple, maintaining them taught us responsibility, patience, and consistency. We also experienced the power of Scout teamwork and community engagement—learning how collective efforts can drive real change for a greener future.
