Peaceful Dialogue for Freshy at PNRU

We believe that when students from different places come together to begin their university journey, they bring along unique stories, cultures, and perspectives. This project was created to provide safe space where everyone can listen with empathy, respect each other, and build real connections through dialogue. Our hope is that they’ll begin this new chapter not just as classmates, but as a supportive community where harmony and understanding can grow.

On 7 July 2025, 564 first-year students at Phranakhon Rajabhat University joined a project focused on empathy, compassionate listening, and intercultural understanding. Through games and group activities, they explored how to respect diverse identities, challenge misperceptions, and use dialogue as a practical tool for building trust and harmony in their new university community. The activities not only created a safe space for connection but also helped students begin their academic journey with greater awareness of diversity and a stronger commitment to inclusivity.

The project successfully engaged 564 first-year students, introducing them to empathy, compassionate listening, and intercultural understanding. Through games and group activities, they learned to respect diverse identities, challenge misperceptions, and use dialogue as a tool for harmony. The program created a safe space for connection and helped students begin their university journey with greater awareness of diversity and inclusivity. Despite coming from different backgrounds and hometowns, students found ways to blend with their peers, especially within their new classes, fostering friendship and a sense of belonging.

The project achieved several important outcomes. Students developed empathy and compassionate listening skills, which helped them understand and respect one another more deeply. They became more aware of diverse identities and learned to challenge misperceptions that can cause misunderstanding. The project also gave them practical experience in using dialogue as a tool for harmony, allowing them to build trust and stronger relationships. By creating a safe space, the project helped students from different backgrounds and hometowns feel connected, blending more easily with their peers and classmates.
