Peace Day : Bridging Minds, Building Peace
We were inspired to start this project to celebrate the International Day of Peace and spread the message of harmony across our campus. As Rangers and Messengers of Peace, we felt a deep responsibility to take the lead and actively engage our college community in a meaningful way. We wanted to transform abstract ideas of peace into visible, collective action, inspiring both students and faculty to unite and make a personal commitment to building a harmonious environment.
To celebrate the International Day of Peace, our team and Unit Leader wore white and led a campus drive. We conducted a seminar about Peace Day, took a peace pledge with students, and visited teachers in small groups, presenting scouting scarves, explaining the day's importance, and sharing harmony messages using the Messenger of Peace sign. We then set up a 'Peace Wall' chart for personal resolutions and concluded with a campus poster rally.
Through this project, we learned how to efficiently coordinate a campus campaign and lead an awareness drive in small teams. We realized that simple symbolic gestures, like wearing white and sharing the Messenger of Peace sign, can leave a lasting positive impression on both students and faculty.
