Under our model for that year (build your country... make your decision... say no to drugs), our troops made a two months campaign to rise the awareness about drugs among the people of beit jala, the campaign contained various activities and workshops for all ages and both genders, which includes: 1- the opening ceremony of the campaign, which included many governmental and religious figures including: bishop atalla hanna, GOC, the governor of Bethlehem, and the whole board of the Palestinian scout association, which all of them emphasized in their speeches about the greatness and necessity of such campaign in our country. 2-the distribution of posters and leaflets explaining the dangers of drugs, how to deal with an addict and most importantly how to recognize a drug. 3-sport events, a football league was organized to support the campaign plus a 10 KM marathon and a swimming competition, to illustrate how sports are the most important method of fighting drugs. 4- awareness workshops and lectures for all the community layers, which was important to understand the needs for every generation and give the lectures based on these needs.
