Luckily, Yogyakarta Scouts Can Join The Dental Scouting Program

YOGYAKARTA — Yogyakarta Scout Headquarters held a Dental Scouting Program on Sunday, February 14th, 2020. It was the first Dental Scouting Program in Indonesia Scout.

The Dental Scouting program aimed to spread information about dental health to the scout and the public. Kak Lia, the chief of this program also said dental scouting is important to rover scout in Yogyakarta, because Yogyakarta has many rover scouts and its needs to be educated in health.

Participant of this program is 15 people, it comes from all-district in Yogyakarta, like Kulon Progo, Bantul, Gunungkidul, Kota Yogyakarta, Sleman, and also some scout community.

The event was opened by Kak Arifin Budiharjo and closed by Kak Bambang Sasongko. In their speech, they reminded the participant to spread this information and the participant would become pioneers in the participant’s district.

Then, they reminded the participant to act by scout philosophies which are to God, to others, and to self, with this program scout, can be more careful with others about dental health issue on rover scout.

The event started from 8.30 AM till 3.30 PM, and the event was designed together with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, and Dental Rescue Team from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.

The participant was taught about teamwork, becoming a good public relation, managing a team, and detect teeth issues. At the end of this program, the participant choose Kak Tiwi to became a leader of Yogyakarta Scout Headquarters Dental Scout.
