"It's Our Concern: Climate Change

These are pictures of youth leaders from the Scouts collecting plastic bottles that were littered by the public during the national day. As Scouts, we are youth leaders responsible for addressing issues related to climate change. We undertook this ad-hoc project to create awareness among the public and encourage them to consider what actions can be taken.

We executed this project by selling the plastic bottles as scrap, and the money we earned from that was fully used to buy dustbins for the community.

Through this project, several valuable lessons were learned: 1. Community Engagement: Involving the community in the process fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility towards local environmental issues. 2. Resourcefulness: Finding ways to repurpose waste materials, like selling plastic bottles as scrap, can generate funds for community needs. 3. Sustainability: Implementing recycling initiatives not only helps the environment but also promotes sustainable practices within the community.
