The historic 7th March Day has been celebrated in Rajshahi with various arrangements. For the first time, the day is celebrated with due dignity as a national day. The district administration carried out various programs on this occasion. A wreath was laid at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the District Shilpakala Academy premises at 9 am. After that, a discussion meeting titled 'March 7: Lifeline of Independence' was held at Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil chaired the meeting. Humayun Kabir was present as the chief guest. Besides, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique, Rajshahi Range Additional DIG of Police Joydev Kumar Bhadra, Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain and Bir Muktijoddha Shafiqur Rahman Raja spoke as special guests. At the end of the meeting, certificates and prizes were handed over to six participants of Bangabandhu's speech competition at Rajshahi District Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Shishu Academy. Besides, members of Rajshahi District Rover Scouts worked with the administration and law enforcement agencies.k
