Healthy Children Are a Peaceful Future
The inspiration for starting this project came from the desire to ensure a healthy and safe future for the children of the society. Many families still lack awareness about preventable diseases like measles and rubella. As Scouts, we have supported the vaccination program out of a sense of humanitarian service and social responsibility, so that every child can get vaccinated at the right time and grow up healthy.
We worked as volunteers at the local EPI vaccination center and participated in conducting the measles-rubella vaccination program with the help of health workers. During the project, we made parents aware of the importance of vaccination, brought children to the vaccination center in an orderly manner, assisted in the registration process, and provided courage and emotional support to children while receiving the vaccine.
Through this project, I have learned valuable lessons about the importance of human service, responsibility, and teamwork. I have come to realize that raising awareness among people can bring about positive changes in society. In addition, working with children and their parents has improved my patience, communication skills, and leadership qualities. The biggest lesson is that even small initiatives can have a big impact on society.
