Fruit Trees Planting for Disabled and Poor households

Fruit Trees Planting for Disabled and Poor households

Vietnam is generally facing many climate change and environmental challenges. Currently, environmental degradation is threatening the lives and livelihoods of the local communities, especially the poor and disabled people, who are suffering a lot. To reduce vulnerability for villagers, PSV has a plan to support the supply of fruit trees to poor and disabled households with many objectives:

  1. Helping to grow fruit trees in home gardens to increase income and nutrition for poor and disabled households;
  2. Increasing the area of green trees to create shade, reduce minor-temperature stresses and contribute to improving air quality and soil protection locally;
  3. Promoting of peaceful and friendly image of Scouting movement in Vietnam;
  4. Attracting and influencing local young people who are not Scouts yet.
