Free Blood Grouping and Hepatitis B & C Screening Camp 2018 (Pakistan)
Agrivarsity Scouts Group, University of Agriculture Faisalabad has organized "Free Blood Grouping & Hepatitis B&C Screening Camp" in collaboration with Clini Care Institute of Medical Sciences & Labs at Faculty of Agriculture near Dean Office, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
I participated and organized this camp alongwith my energetic team which is always ready to provide humanitarian activities.
Opening ceremony of blood grouping camp was held on December 05, 2018 at 10:00 am. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal (Vice Chancellor, UAF.) was the chief guest of the ceremony
Addressing the gathering, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa said effective measures were needed to educate the people about the healthy way of life. He directed the officials concerned to set up the stalls of the checking vitamin D, thyronia and vitamin B12 to facilitate the campus community and locals. He said that as many as 50 percent of population is facing malnutrition. He said that vitamin D deficiency at high with 60 percent; vitamin A 45 percent whereas maternal anemia deficiency stands at 49 and child stunting level 43 percent.
About 1000 students were tested their Blood group free of cost and 150 students were screened for Hepatitis B & C.
Prof. (Rted.) Dr. Muhammad Amjad (Chief Hall Warden) was the chief guest of closing ceremony held on 06 Dec 2018.
