Jigme Namgyel Engineering college celebrated the International Day of Peace on 21st September, 2019 coordinated by the Rover scouts. The celebration started with the National Anthem and followed by the Scout Anthem. The program was brought to life when the President of the college, Dr. Andu Drukpa spoke about the peace and the climate change with relevant examples. After it, the six stations with different activities were on full swing. The Messager of Peace Program and the thread of the Climate Change was implanted in the participants. The colourful peace messages and the pleace pledge were written by every participants to show their commitment to work for the gobal peace and to fight against the climate change. The network game and the Alele Song won the heart of all. Everyone enjoyed in the those two stations and could understand the power of networks. I was very much delighted by the reaction of the audience while presenting about the Scouts of the World Award. The closing yells were the best part of the session. To close the session, everyone gather in the courtyard and sang a final yell to waved everyone goodbye.
