"Building Tradition: A Day of Stupa Making at the Temple"
The thought of being a scout leader and not initiating community service made me feel the urge of volunteering and helping do good deeds with my scouting friends.
On Saturday morning at 9 a.m., we gathered near the temple to start the first day of stupa making. Everyone was new to this, and we were all excited to learn new skills and promote our culture. Our group consisted of 16 members, including myself, and we aimed to make 700 stupas that day. However, since it was our first attempt, we only managed to complete about 500. The next day, we were able to make even more and had a lot of fun while doing it. It was a great experience, and we enjoyed being part of this cultural activity.
Project helped the only few caretakers of the temple to achieve their goals for the well being of all sentient beings.
What I learnt is that being able to help the community even a bit makes us feel the joy and satisfaction of doing something great and i acquired alot of new skills which would be useful for me in the future
