PRABUHI | Reading Volunteer Scouts re-launched our anti-bullying campaign #BigNO2Bullying on last Human Right Day (10th Dec 2014). This campaign actually had been launched in Medan Team few months before. But, because we became volunteer group for Peace Education for Earth Festival on Indonesian National Rover Moot of Forestry Special Scouts for a week (14 Dec - 20 Dec2014), we decided to take the advantage of the event, and re-launched it. The campaign is to take a "happy Photo" of scouts and non-scouts holding 2 big red letter N and O says NO, as to make everyone who saw it questioning the meaning of that photo; that way we can share the idea of the campaign: to encourage as much people as possible to say NO to Bullying and NO to become BYSTANDER. The campaign starts from the moment volunteer scouts take the big red NO letters to some strangers they meet around, and asking them to take photo with it. There will be dialogues about that idea as well as promotion of the campaign. second part of the objectives is when other people who watch the event will questioning and get the same answer/explanations. Then when the photo is published, there will be more viewer who questioning the photo and get the same awareness. Teenagers need to understand how important it is to NOt become Bystander, and that Bystander or people who just stand still and doing nothing when a Bullying is happening, is as much guilty as the Bullyer it self.
