A.T.P. - ADOPT THAT PLANT
The A.T.P. campaign aims to: • Promote sustainable practices and green workspace environments. • Reduce CO₂ footprint, with each plant absorbing approx. 2 kg of CO₂ per year. • Improve indoor air quality and employee well-being through the presence of greenery. • Encourage eco-conscious behavior using paperless digital tools. • Involve and empower Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers through real-time action and service.
The Adopt That Plant (A.T.P.) initiative is not just a one-time campaign but an ongoing green movement, first conceptualized and launched at Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi (CRWS). It integrates green practices, youth service, and employee wellness into a unified sustainability model. With enthusiastic participation and measurable CO₂ data, the initiative is already showing tangible benefits.
Environmental Impact: • ~160 kg of CO₂ absorbed annually (from 80 plants) • Enhanced oxygen levels and biodiversity • Promotion of native and functional plants (e.g., rosemary, Brazilian wood) Health & Well-Being (SDG 3): • Improved air quality = better respiratory health • Exposure to green space = reduced stress and better focus Sustainable Culture (SDGs 11, 13, 15): • Digitally executed: No paper used • Strong youth involvement via Scouting movement • Model for replication across departments
