Sanitize Kinshasa

Kinshasa is capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has about 12 million inhabitants (10% of the national total). Here are 2 decades that this city is facing insalubrity. Indeed, people who came to live in cities have not been properly prepared. In response to this crisis of cleanliness, the Scouts of Kinshasa West began an awareness campaign and community actions. In July 2019, 300 Scouts have a health and sanitation march on the public highway in Kintambo commune. On a 7-kilometer walk, scouts picked up abandoned garbage along the public road. This waste was taken care of by the municipal services to the environment of the commune of Kintambo. This activity was the result of a collaboration between the Bougmestre of the Kintambo Commune and the Kinshasa West Scout District Leadership Team.
