
Pragathi Path Pavilion at BIMSTEC SEWOCON
The Bharat Scouts and Guides was entrusted with the opportunity of hosting the BIMSTEC - Youth Led Action on Climate, SEWOCON at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi from 20th to 24th February, 2025 under the aegis of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The event served as a powerful platform aimed at projecting and engaging differentiated stakeholders of the movement on the Pragathi Path while additionally showcasing the revised youth programme to the international participants while securing their feedback on the same.
The revised youth programme of the Bharat Scouts and Guides drew a diverse audience constituted by youth participants, office bearers of the organisation, facilitators, supporting volunteers, resource speakers alongside special guests. The pavilion in turn elucidated on the evolving requisites of the young people and the integration of the educational institutional journey with the scheme of advancement to enhance relevance in general. The progressive sections and the award system was explained in great detail while connecting the same to learning by doing and the plan-do-review methodology. The holistic growth and development objectives and constructive structure enabling empowerment of young people and transformation into active global citizens was elucidated to all the visitors.
A footfall ranging above 250 people ensured sufficient time for enhanced communication of concepts and clearing discrepancies if raised over the course of intellectually stimulated discussions. Some of the special guests were Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Mr. Dalbir Singh Suhag, Former Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, Mr. David Berg, Acting Secretary General, World Scouting and Mr. JRC Pangilinan, Regional Director , Asia Pacific Region. In addition to the same, other distinguished dignitaries including professors, ministry officials and resource speakers paid a visit to the pavilion.
