Peace Day Community Clean-Up and Tree Planting
What inspired you to take up the project?
We were inspired to start this project because we wanted to make a positive impact on our community and the environment. Celebrating Peace Day, we aimed to promote peace, well-being, and environmental responsibility by cleaning the community and planting trees, showing that small actions can create a healthier and more beautiful place for everyone.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
Through this project, I learned the importance of teamwork, planning, and community service. I realized how small actions, like planting trees and cleaning public spaces, can make a big difference for the environment and the well-being of others. I also learned to take responsibility, coordinate with others, and appreciate the impact of collective efforts in creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier community
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
On Peace Day, our scout team gathered at school in the morning and planted around 30 trees. After refreshments, we split into three groups to clean and cut grass in different areas of the community, including the BHU hospital and the school grounds. The activities finished around 2 PM, followed by lunch together before going home.
