DRIGLAM NAMZHA DAY
What inspired you to take up the project?
I was inspired to observe Driglam Namzha Day on Scouts Day to promote Bhutanese culture, values, discipline, and respectful behaviour among Scouts. The project aimed to help Scouts understand and practise Driglam Namzha in their daily lives while strengthening their sense of cultural identity, responsibility, and national pride.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
I learned that preserving Driglam Namzha requires consistent practice, discipline, and active participation. The project strengthened my understanding of Bhutanese culture and values and taught me the importance of guiding young Scouts to respect and preserve our traditions. It also enhanced my skills in leadership, communication, and organising meaningful cultural activities.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
I executed the project by organising Scouts Day activities focused on Driglam Namzha. The Scouts were guided to practise proper dress, greetings, etiquette, discipline, and respectful behaviour. Through demonstrations, discussions, and practical activities, they were encouraged to apply Bhutanese cultural values in their daily lives.
