Center for Active Reading and Learning Turn-Over Ceremony (SWA Post-Voluntary Service of TMS Scouting Movement; 10 June 2019)
Monday, June 10, 2019 marks the turn-over ceremony of the Reading Center (Project Center for Active Reading and Learning) at Doña Arsenia Elementary School. The Scouts attended the flag ceremony, and after that Sct. Carl Andre F. Santiago, Senior Crew Leader and Junior Assistant to the Outfit Advisor, gave a brief orientation regarding the usage of the reading center.
Special awards of appreciation were given to the school, Mr. Edwin I. Pagco (BE Chairman), Mrs. Rosalie S. Cabarios (DAES Principal) and as well as to the participants. After the brief remarks coming from Mrs. Cabarios and Sct. Santiago, the ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Mrs. Cabarios and Sct. Santiago – marking the official turn-over and establishment of the Reading center for all to use.
The students from DAES went in groups to tour the place and have a glimpse of the library before using them. The Scouts guided the students how to maintain organization inside the library.
The TMS Scouting Movement would like to thank Dr. Elizabeth T. Asiaten, TMS School Directress, Dr. Steve Noel L. Dayao, TMS High School Principal, Sctr. Salve Z. Aguilar, Tarlac Council Scout Executive, Sctr. Harmes S. Sembrano, Tarlac Council Chairman, Mrs. Rosalie I. Cabarios, Principal of DAES, Mr. Edwin I. Pagco, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator of DAES, and members of the faculty of DAES for their unwavering support. The movement also extends their warmest gratitude to those who extended help in terms of fundraising and in-kind donations.
Special appreciation is also extended to Sctr. Yasser F. Sarona for helping the team with regards to the conduct of the SWA Programme and to Sctr. Jayson J. Taruc and Sctr. Debbie B. Taruc for serving as SW Advisers and Supporters.
