Yangneer Primary School Celebrates International Day of Peace Theme: Cultivating the Culture of Peace Yangneer Primary School joyfully participated in the International Day of Peace celebration under the theme “Cultivating the Culture of Peace.” The event brought together our school’s scout leaders, students, and teachers to celebrate peace and harmony through a variety of fun and engaging activities. The celebration was honored by the presence of our school principal, along with scout leaders and students from all grades. That day all the students were also honored as a guest with clipping of rosette. They were seen showing smile and throughout the day they kept the rosette on their chest. The event kicked off with a warm welcome by Scout Master, Mr. Tshewang Dorji, who greeted the guests and participants. In his address, Mr. Dorji emphasized the importance of understanding and seeking peace in our daily lives. His words set a peaceful and reflective tone for the day. Following the principal's inspiring words of wisdom, the fun activities began. For students from Pre-Primary to Grade III, a Balloon Blasting game was organized, ensuring that no student was left out. Laughter and excitement filled the air as students enthusiastically participated in the games. Grades IV to VI enjoyed the spirited Pulling the Tail game, which showcased their agility and clever tactics. Everyone performed wonderfully, contributing to a lively and joyful atmosphere. To enhance camaraderie and strengthen relationships between students and teachers, a Coordination Game was played by student leaders and teachers, further fostering teamwork and mutual understanding. Teachers also participated in a Chair Dance game, much to the delight of the students, who cheered them on with a chorus of claps and laughter. The event concluded with an awards ceremony to honor those who demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship throughout the games. As a final act of unity, everyone pledged to be lifelong messengers of peace, committing to spread the message of harmony and understanding in their communities. The celebration came to a close with a group photo session, with all participants proudly displaying the Messenger of Peace sign.
