2nd June is celebrated as Coronation Day of the Great Fourth, His Majesty Druk Gyalpo Singye Wangchuck in 1972.

This day is also celebrated as Social Forestry Day in Bhutan where school children plant trees in and around the schools. Our school,Kheni Lower Seconday School under Trashi Yangtse marked the day by planting 64 saplings in the school premises. It was coordinated by the scouts.
