SUNDAYS ON CYCLE – WITH SCOUTS
Our project was inspired by the vision of promoting fitness, healthy living, and community spirit among students and Scouts. Through “Sundays on Cycle,” we wanted to encourage young people to choose cycling as a healthy habit while spreading awareness about environmental sustainability. The initiative also strengthens teamwork, discipline, leadership, and social responsibility, reflecting the core values of Scouting.
We organized Scouts, students, faculty, and volunteers for a 12 km cycling rally on Sunday. Participants assembled with bicycles, Scout uniforms, and safety gear before beginning the ride. The route was planned to ensure safety and community participation. Volunteers coordinated traffic, group movement, and refreshments while promoting fitness, teamwork, environmental awareness, and the message of a healthier lifestyle.
We learned that teamwork, discipline, and proper coordination are essential for successful community activities. The project helped us understand the importance of physical fitness, road safety, environmental responsibility, and active participation. We also developed leadership, communication, time-management, and organizational skills. Most importantly, we learned that small collective efforts, like cycling together, can inspire healthier lifestyles and create stronger communities.
