Storm Alvaro: Scouts ready on New Year's Day
"Be Prepared," the scouts Tily Eto Madagasikara swiftly mobilized to assist threatened populations as soon as weather alerts about the storm were issued. The spirit of service among the scouts knows no bounds nor holidays when it comes to saving lives.
In anticipation of the impending arrival of the Tropical Storm ALVARO, over 120 Tily scouts promptly deployed in the early hours of New Year's Day to the Atsimo Andrefana and Menabe regions, focusing on the most vulnerable districts such as Toliara I, Toliara II, Morombe, Morondava, and Manja.
Scouts were the first on the ground and ready to help, even if the first day of the year is known to be a resting day
