Soap That Saves Water

Help enviroment
Oi My Project – by Pedro I made homemade soap using used cooking oil to help the environment. I didn’t do it alone — my mom helped me with the hard and dangerous parts, like handling the caustic soda. I filtered the oil, helped mix the ingredients, chose the molds, and decorated them. While doing it, I learned about a chemical reaction called saponification. That’s when the oil and soda mix and turn into something new: soap!
I learned that we can reuse things to help the planet, and that chemistry can turn something bad, like dirty oil, into something useful. I also learned how to make soap and how to stay safe during the process.
