Scouts Health Camp: Supporting SDG-3
We were motivated by the goal of protecting child health in our community and supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Seeing the vulnerability of young children to preventable diseases inspired our Scouts team to actively volunteer in this crucial national health campaign.
We coordinated with local health officials to set up the vaccination booth and arrange the necessary supplies. As a scout member, I actively participated in organizing the children into orderly lines, safely administering the Vitamin-A capsules, and raising awareness among parents about child nutrition. Through our team's collective efforts, the entire campaign was executed smoothly and successfully."
Through this project, I learned the importance of teamwork and crowd management in public health campaigns. I realized how small volunteer actions can create a massive impact on community health. It also enhanced my communication and leadership skills while interacting with parents and health officials."
