Scouts go Solar for Ban Saikham Municipal School
The Scout Go Solar activity aims to inspire young people to recognize the importance of clean energy and take an active role in environmental sustainability through hands-on learning about solar energy.
This initiative is supported by the Global Youth Mobilization, funded by the European Union, empowering youth to become leaders of positive change toward a sustainable future.
The programme was delivered by trained youth Scouts who completed the Scout Go Solar National Co-ordinator training, promoting a peer-led learning approach.
Key activities included Solar Cooking, Solar Energy, and Solar Art, providing hands-on experience and practical knowledge on renewable energy.
Participants gained essential knowledge and hands-on experience in solar energy and its practical applications through interactive activities.
The project enhanced environmental awareness, while also strengthening leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among Scout youth.
It also demonstrated the effectiveness of youth-led, peer-to-peer learning in promoting sustainable practices.
