Scout Traffic Safety Training

Traffic accidents remain a serious risk for young people and daily road users. As a Scout and member of the Regional Scout Council (DKD Riau), I was motivated to take part in this initiative to help promote traffic safety awareness. The goal of this project was to encourage Scouts to become role models in promoting safe and responsible behavior on the road and to contribute to safer public spaces.

The project was carried out by DKD Riau in collaboration with Capella Honda, Jasa Raharja, and BASARNAS through a traffic safety program at the Honda Safety Riding Training Centre. A total of 12 Scouts volunteers participated in safety briefings and practical training sessions. The activity benefited 33 scouts from Pekanbaru, focusing on road safety education, safe riding practices, and promoting responsible behavior in traffic.

This project taught me the importance of clear communication and practical methods in delivering traffic safety education. I also learned the value of teamwork and collaboration, and how Scouts can contribute positively to improving public safety.
