Scout Activities After Cyclone Gezali
What inspired us to start this project was our commitment as scouts. After the cyclone, we saw the difficulties faced by families whose homes were damaged.
As scouts, we are taught to serve, to be supportive, and to help our community in times of need. Our Scout Promise and values of solidarity, responsibility, and service motivated us to act quickly and assist the affected families.
We wanted to put our spirit of service into action and show that scouts are always ready to help.
We carried out the project through strong teamwork and coordination. Our team consisted of 8 volunteers. After the cyclone, we identified 4 households whose homes were damaged.
In total, 15 people benefited from our support. We helped remove water from inside the houses and reinforced the roofs by adding sand to prevent further damage.
Through solidarity, organization, and collaboration, we successfully completed the project.
As a Scout leader, the cyclone was a real test of leadership in times of crisis. I learned to stay calm, organize the team quickly, and make responsible decisions to help affected families.
We put the Scout Promise and Law into action through solidarity, teamwork, and service. This experience strengthened our unity, commitment, and spirit of service.
