Raising Awareness Against Gender-Based Violence
My motivation comes, therefore, from the commitment to the cause of combating gender violence through awareness, supporting survivors, and fostering a society where equality and safety are basic rights for all. I do believe that the protection of human rights and social change, by definition, demand a world without violence and discrimination. In this work, I aspire to help in bringing about a more just and compassionate community in which all can live with dignity and respect.
We conduct beach clean-up drives in Kuakata along with creating awareness on gender issues. We engage in discussions on gender violence, equality, and safety through education and collective action with the community.
Through this project, I will understand gender violence and its impact on the community. I will be able to develop skills in community engagement, leadership, and teamwork by closely working with local people.
