The event was held on 24th and 25th September 2019 at SK Bukit Kuari, Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. Participants involved are scout members of Batu Pahat district. The objectives of this program are to provides information on the importance of addressing climate change as a way to protect and promote peace around the world and educate members the importance of recycling and how to reuse the recycled waste

On 24th September, the members gathered recycled waste they have collected to be weighed. Almost 30kg recycled waste has successfully been collected. The waste will be sent to the recycling centre on the following week.

The next day, the registration started at 8.00 am. While waiting for all participants to arrive, the members went to the exhibition held by Malaysia Meteorological Department. Then, a talk about extreme weather was given by the Director of Malaysia Meteorological Department (Johor), Mr Amirzuki bin Hashim and an exhibition has been opened about global warming, extreme weather, etc. The members gained new knowledge on the environment from the exhibition and talk.

On the same day, a recycled design model competition was held. The members have to create toys from the discarded materials. The competition started on 10.30 am and finished on 12.00 pm. All the participants completed their project and submitted their models. The winner for the competition is from SK Seri Belahan’s scouts who had the most creative and functional design among all the participants. The prize was given by Batu Pahat education officer, Mr Azhan bin Sitam. The program runs smoothly and ends at 2.00 pm.
