One little project alone would not change the world, but various little projects together can make a change.
As Baden-Powell said "Leave the world a better place than what we found"
The project took place in the scouts group, Aldeia Verde, during february and march of 2022. During the activities, the scout Cezar would speak to the other scouts about the project and the importance of it.
During the period of action, the goal was to collect old batteries to later deliver them to a reciclying facility, contributing to reduce ground and water pollution.
At the end, the goal was reached and it was noted that in a very short period of time, humanity can produce a lot of garbage
The impact was in whole scout group, from 7 years old to all the adults. Everyone engaged in collecting the batteries and the legacy stands out at the importance of reciclying and taking care of the environment for now and the future generations to come.
The learnings spans from contribuing to the environment and reducing ground pollution, as well as community impact, since with this project the whole scout group was invited to contribute and be a part of the greater goal.
To make it better, it could be expanded to the neighborhood to increase the number of people contributing, as well as media marketing to impact more people
