Planting Roots for a Greener Future
This project was inspired by Bhutan's ultimate national goal of planting 1 million trees by 2030, reflecting our shared commitment to environmental conservation, climate action, and a greener future for generations to come.
The project was carried out on Social Forestry Day from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, involving students from Classes IV to X. A total of 250 saplings, including fruit and other tree species, were planted in designated areas within the school campus.
Students worked in groups, with older students helping to dig planting pits while others planted and watered the saplings. Through teamwork and cooperation, the plantation drive was successfully completed, contributing to a greener environment.
Through this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, environmental stewardship, and community participation. The activity helped students understand their role in protecting nature and demonstrated how small actions, such as planting a tree, can contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
