Picking Up Trash, Protecting Our Future
I often notice litter scattered around my school area, even though there are trash bins nearby. Seeing this made me realize that keeping our environment clean is everyone's responsibility. That's why I decided to do this project. I hope it encourages people to care more about their surroundings and shows that even a small action, like picking up a piece of trash, can make a big difference.
To start this project, I looked around my school and chose an area that had a lot of scattered litter. I prepared simple equipment, such as gloves and a trash bag, before beginning the cleanup. I collected the litter, separated the plastic from other types of waste, and placed them into the proper bins.
Through this project, I learned that taking care of the environment can start from simple actions and greater awareness. I realized that everyone, including students, has a role in keeping their surroundings clean. This experience taught me to be more responsible, disciplined, and consistent in making positive changes. It also showed me that even small actions, when done with good intentions, can create a meaningful impact on the environment and the people around us.
