Mission Clean Bite: Dengue-Free Neighborhood
As a Rover and a responsible citizen, I felt the need to take action against the growing threat of dengue. I was deeply concerned seeing how stagnant water, poor waste management, and lack of awareness were contributing to the spread of the disease. I believe that real change starts at the community level. That’s why I initiated the “Mission Clean Bite” project—to raise awareness and build a clean, dengue-free neighborhood through collective effort.
I shared my project idea with my RSL sir, and he supported me by arranging dengue control spray. Then, with the help of 10 Rovers and Girl-in-Rover members, we cleaned mosquito-prone areas and sprayed repellent. We also raised awareness in the community about keeping the surroundings clean. Teamwork and proper planning helped us complete the project successfully.
From this project, I learned that small actions and teamwork can make a big difference. Keeping the environment clean and spreading awareness can help prevent dengue. Leadership and planning are very important. Most importantly, education motivates people to take responsibility for their surroundings.
