2nd June is celebrated as Coronation Day of the Great Fourth, His Majesty Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck in 1972.

This day is also celebrated as Social Forestry Day in Bhutan wher school children plant trees in and around the schools. Our School, Kheni Lower Secondary School under Trashi Yangste marked the day by planting 64 saplings of walnut in the school premises. It was coordinated by the scouts.
