The International Peace day is an annual event celebrated on 21st Sep Worldwide; On this auspicious day, the members of East Coast Railway, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Khurda District Association actively participated in this mega event in their respective places.

Near about 160 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers and unit leaders perform Street Plays and aware the people about climate action and spread the theme of international peace day i.e. “Climate Action SDG-13”.

Scouts, Guides Rovers, Rangers and Unit Leaders actively participated and rendering services. The cleanliness drive started with awareness rally; in which all the participates aware the visitors of beach regarding the pollution in beach.

Moreover, Scouts and Rovers picked up trash comprising empty cans, poythene bags and plastic bottles and disposed it of properly. Within an hour, all are filled their trash. The activity aimed at creating awareness among the younger generation about the importance of keeping the environment clean, hygienic and free of pollution.

With the help of “PaavanPawan” team we also took tree plantation drive by planting more than 50 saplings at Railway colonies.

The Scouts, Guides, Rovers, & Rangers also participated in peace rally and raised slogans and distributed pamphlets to promote awareness and also done door to door campaign to give the information regarding climate action.
