Garuda scout clean-up action for the environment
After we carried out the Garuda Scout Inauguration, we saw so much garbage left after the activity. As a scout, we feel responsible for the code of ethics "Love of nature and compassion for fellow human beings" so by inviting friends from the penggalang we carry out garbage cleanup activities in the Bekasi district government plaza area, to help relieve the janitors in doing their job.
The activity is carried out by picking up garbage one by one and putting it in plastic garbage to be collected at one point to be transported by the cleaning staff, this action involves scouts of penggalang, penegak, and pandega, as well as coaches. so that it is faster and more effective in cleaning up the garbage left behind if done together, this action is a form of solidarity and awareness of scout members towards the environment.
We learned that scouting is not just about organization, but a form of responsibility for what is learned in the process to care more about yourself, the environment, and the wider community so that the impact can be felt by everyone. Teamwork can make public spaces more comfortable and healthy.
