Free Medical Camp Brings Hope to Feni

In 2024, the district of Feni was struck by one of the most damaging floods in recent memory. Homes were submerged, livelihoods disrupted, and health risks soared across the region. In response to the growing medical needs of the flood-affected communities, a Free Medical Camp was organized by a team of Scouts, doctors, and local volunteers to provide urgent care and restore hope.
Held in a flood-hit locality of Feni, the camp offered free medical consultations, essential medicines, and health education to families who had limited access to healthcare following the disaster. With stagnant water and poor sanitation increasing the spread of diseases, this initiative came at a critical time. Key Services Provided: 1. General check-ups and free medicines 2. Treatment for waterborne and skin diseases 3. Health awareness on hygiene and safe water practices
This experience reinforced the importance of emergency response preparedness and the role of youth-led community service during crises. It also showcased how quick, coordinated action can save lives and uplift spirits in the aftermath of disaster. The 2024 Feni Free Medical Camp proved that when a community comes together—guided by compassion and a spirit of service—recovery becomes possible. It was not just a health mission, but a message of care, resilience, and solidarity.
