Fire pit rebuild
As one of our scouts leadership projects we spent 48 hours each cementing, brick laying and digging to make a ceremony pit and a cooking hole.
on the 29th of July to the 31st of July on of the 2ND Nambour SCOUTS organised a patrol activity for the 2nd half of their leadership course. Over the course of the two days four scouts constructed both a fire place and camp oven pit under the supervision of two of our leaders. By the end of day one we had prepped the site and had completed the first two rings of the site and had completed the first two rings of the fire place. plus we laid the bricks in the pit. On the Sunday we finished it off with quite a bit of help from a cub leader and 32 of her cubs as well as a District Scout Leader. finally we concreted the final ring and placed the seats in concreted holes.
