Eco-Play: Empowering Green Warriors
I was inspired to start this project at Happy Junior School after realizing that environmental awareness should begin at a young age. I and my Rover Crew felt that by teaching kindergarteners about sustainability through fun games and stories, we could inspire them to become lifelong protectors of nature. We wanted to show these young students that even simple actions like sorting waste and caring for trees can make a huge difference for our planet.
I and my Rover Crew visited Happy Junior School to conduct an environmental awareness workshop for the children. We used games and storytelling to teach them how to identify and sort biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste properly. Through drawing and interactive activities, we helped the kids understand the importance of trees and their role in keeping our environment healthy.
I learnt that even very young children can grasp the importance of protecting the environment if taught through play and stories. This project taught me the importance of communication, patience, and how to simplify complex ideas like waste segregation for a younger audience. I also understood that by empowering the next generation with green habits today, we are building a more sustainable and conscious society for the future.
