I am a member of Tharu Neth Family. All the members of the society wanted to do some activity related to the recent flood. The members of the society agreed to give some donations for the flood victims. As all the members agreed we started to collect money form 4th June 2016. With the effort of all the members we were able to collect Rs. 58 000. After collecting the money few of our members visited the area called Bomiriya in Kaduwela. The members discussed with people in that area what are the things that they wanted. After discussing with them we decided what to donate for the 20 families living in that area. We were able to make 20 packs of the following items- - 2 Pillows - 2 pillow cases - 1 bed sheet - 1 towel - 1 flask - 1 rotti pan - 1 frying pan We were able to collect and pack the following items before 4th July 2016. Then we fixed a date to visit them and to distribute the donations. We visited the area on 10th July 2016 and distributed the donations to the flood victims.
