COVID-19 Awareness Campaign

Afghanistan National Scout Organization have developed an achievement badge under the name of (Covid-19 Awareness Campaign). The badge is consist of two following parts;

- Teaching the COVID-19 Prevention Measures for the Scouts and encouraging them to implement it in their daily lives.  

- Conducting Community Outreach Events to raise public knowledge about COVID-19 prevention measures through individual Scouts and Units.  

Through the two above main activities, 64 Scouts and 100 women trained in two provinces. In addition to it, 100 hygiene kits distributed to 100 women participated in the Awareness program in Herat and Samangan provinces. 

 

Throughout the project, 4 training sessions conducted regarding COVID-19 prevention measures in two provinces, Herat and Samangan and trained 64 Girls Scouts in 4th week of August and 1st week of September 2020.

After they had received training, they started their community outreach program and demonstrated the COVID-19 Prevention measures to 100 women in their neighbourhood, 50 women in both provinces. 10 girls assigned for running the community outreach program; where every one of them has scheduled 5 women from different families in their neighbourhood to demonstrate the COVID-19 prevention measures to them.  

Throughout this project 164 families equipped with the knowledge that how to protect themselves and their family members from the disease especially COVID-19.
