Topic: Coronation day celebration in Bhutan

Objective: To promote one pillar of Gross National Happiness of Bhutan

Across the nation 2nd June2019 celebrated the coronation day of our beloved fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuk of Bhutan in very auspicious and special way, that by planting of trees across the country to promote the one pillars of Gross National Happiness that is "Preservation of Environment" .As per the GNH philosophy of the country, Bhutan must preserved it forest 70% covered all the time, with this theme behind every citizen of Bhutan must play vital roles in keeping the Bhutan green concept. So today is the day to thank our beloved 4th King of Butan by planting the trees by the differents sectors and departments. In Bhutan especially different section of scouting initiated to carryout this mass planting campaign.

Therefore we the Rover scout members of TTI-Samthang also took part in this celebration and planted 205 trees sapling in and around the institute primises. Total 45 males and 24 females participants took part in this program and it started from 8.30 am and completed by 12.00pm. Finally we all are very happy and able to contributed in a small way for our country.
