Community Service Through Scouting

This project was inspired by the scout principle of service to others and our desire to contribute meaningfully during the Wanglung program at Autsho Central School. We wanted to support the organizers, help the devotees, and practice the values of compassion, teamwork, and responsibility through volunteer service.

The project was carried out in partnership with the Dzongkhag Rabdey and DeSuup volunteers during the month-long Wanglung program at Autsho Central School. Scout leaderships volunteered in serving the public from 6:00 AM till 6:00 PM. Due to ongoing school sessions, we could not participate throughout all 30 days of the event. However, we actively volunteered during weekends, government holidays, and other available days.

Through this project, we learned the true value of selfless service, teamwork, discipline, and compassion. Volunteering during the Wanglung program helped us understand the importance of helping the community with humility and respect. . Most importantly, the project strengthened our sense of responsibility and the scout spirit of serving others.
